CUPERTINO, CA – De Anza College hosted the 2019 Swim & Dive State Championship, where sophomore Weston Spoon and freshman Meghan Efseaff capped off outstanding season's for the Chargers.
Men's swimmer, Weston Spoon, represented the Chargers in two events at the state championship; 100y back (54.66) and 200y back (1:58.80). Spoon placed 16th at state and walked away with a personal best of 54.92, just .2 seconds off a team record.
Women's swimmer, Meghan Efseaff, represented the Chargers in three events at the state championships; 50y free (24.60), 100y fly (59.98) and 100y back (1:01.10). Efseaff placed 7th in the 100y fly and 9th in the 100y back. Efseaff's time in the 100y fly set a new Cypress College record for the event.
