No. 6 Chargers Fall to No.4 El Camino, Pick Up Win Against No. 5 Mira Costa

TORRANCE, CA - The Cypress College beach volleyball team (6-6, 1-1 OEC) took home a loss and a win at the ECC Sand Volleyball Courts on Saturday.

The No. 6 Lady Chargers went 0-for against the No. 4 El Camino College Warriors, all pairs losing their match-ups and the Warriors coming out victorious, 5-0. The Chargers redeemed themselves in their next match up against the No. 5 Mira Costa Spartans winning, 3-2. The Chargers' No. 1 (Khamis BernekerBrittany Zavala), No. 3 (Marina Pilkington/Ashley Corona) and No. 5 (Alondra Lamas/Savanna Johnson) came out strong, giving great performances.    

The Chargers next match-up is Friday at 10:00am at the Pearce Sports Complex against Riverside College.
