As the game continued East Los Angeles swung the momentum their way and began to have several goal scoring opportunities that were saved by Cypress goalie Angeles Alvarez, who finished the game with five saves. East Los Angeles broke through with ten minutes left with a goal from Marilyn Castanon which brought the score to 2-1.
