Kevin Monahan is entering his sixth year as the Associate Head Coach for the Chargers, working primarily with the outfielders and assisting with hitting. Kevin was a key member of the 2017 NFCA Cal JC National Coaching Staff of the Year at Cypress. He has helped see the Chargers to three consecutive OEC titles along and a 2017 State Championship.

Prior to Cypress College Monahan was the freshmen Head Baseball Coach at Kennedy High School for one season. In the offseason Coach Monahan, along with his wife Hali Monahan, coached the Lady Scorpions 18+ softball team.

While playing varsity baseball for three years at Kennedy High School, he was named All-League for two years and named a South County All-Star. He then played two years at Long Beach City College earning All-Conference one of those seasons. Kevin received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University.

Kevin credits his coaching and success to those in his life who have taught him so much about the game and life, his father Tom Monahan, mentor Brad Pickler and past coaches Chris Pascal and Tony Wilhite.
