Chargers mercied Orange Coast 13-0 in season finale

Costa Mesa, CA - Stephanie Luhmann (23-4) and Alyssia Palomino split the pitching duties on the final regular season softball game at Orange Coast College (3-29, 1-20.)  They combined or a 1-hitter while the offense produced 13 runs on 13 hits in a 13-0 win over the Pirates in a shortened 5-inning game. The Chargers scored in each of the five innings. Mallory Campbell led the Chargers with a 2-for-3, with two RBI, two runs and a walk. Nicole Watkins managed the only hit for the Pirates in the 4th inning.

The Chargers finished the season at 18-3 and tied with Riverside for first place. The Tigers however beat the Chargers 2-out-of-3 to win the tie breaker. The Chargers are 33-7 and likely will host the Regionals starting next week.
