Michelle Esquivel will enter her first season as the Cypress College Men's Tennis Coach. Esquivel was previously the Head Women's Tennis Coach and the Assistant Men's Tennis Coach for the Chargers from 2011-2013 before spending the last two seasons as the Head Women's Tennis Coach at Orange Coast College.
Esquivel also brings an impressive resume as a standout player at all levels. She won CCCAA state titles in singles and doubles as a Pirate in 2005 before moving on to play with Concordia University at the NAIA level where she was a two-time All-American.
Esquivel earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science with emphasis in teaching and coaching from Concordia University and later earned her Master's degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to her college coaching career at Cypress, Esquivel earned some experience coaching players of all ages, both privately and at academy levels, including the Match Point Tennis Academy and the Upland Tennis Center.
