Steve Lambright

Steve Lambright is entering his third season as the pitching coach for the Cypress College baseball team. He has over 20 years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate level.

Lambright was a pitcher at Glendora High School before moving on to Cal State Fullerton (1984-87) where he has a member of the 1984 National Championship team. He graduated from CSUF with a B.A. in communications and received his teaching credential from Concordia University.

Lambright spent seven years as the pitching coach at Mater Dei High School. He then became the head coach at Edison High School, where he spent 13 seasons. He won three Sunset League Coach of the Year Awards and was named the National Coach of the Year in 2011.

Coach Lambright has been an 8th grade science and PE teacher at Warner Middle School for 20 years. He has been married to Michelle for 24 years. They have two children, Nicolette (22) and Nolan (15).
