Cypress- The Cypress Chargers baseball team (6-1) was defeated for the first time this season on Tuesday afternoon, falling to Moorpark (5-2) 10-4.Moorpark jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning, followed by two more runs in the fifth, another two runs in the sixth, and four more runs at the top of the seventh to take a commanding 9-0 lead over Cypress. Dalton Duarte led the Raiders with two home runs and five RBIs in five at bats.The Chargers rallied late and were able to come up with three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Brandon Brintz hit a two RBI double deep to right field and scored a run after John Santospago hit an RBI single to left field. The late rally wasn't enough for the Chargers to overcome the nine run deficit and the Raiders left Cypress with a 10-4 victory.The Chargers will look to get back on track Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14 as they face Merced. First pitch Friday is at 2:00 pm, followed by a 12:00 pm start on Saturday.
